Working for Ubisoft
I joined Ubisoft earlier this year (April) and have been happily working there since.
Simon-Gibson.co.uk still has a broken gallery due to a database update so I’ve been looking for a new gallery system. Long story short it might be best I do a total website re-design with more solid foundations.
I recently joined www.cgchain.com as a colleague and friend of mine (Joseph Harford) has been creating a community with alot more emphasis on education and critique. I recommend this place as it has already attracted some big artists from the Game and Film Industries.
A final thought, I hope everyone had an awesome christmas and I wish you all the best for 2009.

3 commentsNew Job – Evolution Studios
In July I joined Evolution Studios (makers of Motorstorm) as a Car Artist.
As I have been (and continue to be) a very busy man I have not had the time to update the site. When I have some free time and some new projects on the go I will be posting them here.
Cheers

Finally got round to modelling the bull and thought about a change of environment.

Exterior Test Render (Work in progress)
Exterior test render. No fancy materials applied on the interior yet.

Issues:
*Scratches on car (i have no idea whats causing this)
*I accidently Duplicated the Wing Mirror which is causing an artifact.
*The materials of the rear lights need alot more work, I need to experiment with different material setups.
*Door handle is not subdivided correctly
*Car paint will be replaced with a more advanced shader to get some nice paint flakes
*Takes way to long to render (the rear lights are the cause of this).
